Celebrate Big Sister

With a new baby in our home now we tried to make our Bekahbear feel special too! She got a new big girl bed and new bedding...that she picked out:) We decided on a toddler bed for now since maybe one day the girls will want to share a room and we can get them bunk beds later.
Bex was very surprised for her new bed and has been excited to sleep in it at night. An added bonus for us!:)

Bex loves her owl pillow pet

We were very surprised one day to have a gift given to us by our great friends the Millers! Luke and Bekah have played together many times for their parents to have date night:) Its great since we live so close to them to trade off babysitting. Course that will probably stop now since they are also expecting a baby next month!!
Bex was VERY surprised for her pink Mustang!!
she seems right at home....
She drove up and down our street which is a culdesac. John stayed right with her and she caught on to steering pretty quick! I think we might be in trouble come 16!

First week home

Well we survived our first week home with baby Livia. Lovely Livia as Grandma has nicknamed her:) we could not have made it this past week with out grandma & grandpas help. I was soooo very sad to see them go! Bekah had a great time with them especially when I was in the hospital she got to spend the night with them! and she loved grandmas oatmeal and riding in the car with them to and from. I was so happy to be home after only 3 days!!! with Bekahbear I was there for 1 week so this was a nice change. However I compared the two and thought I was strong enough to do more than I should...so I had to really take it easy! I really could not have relaxed like I did without their help. Mom even got up with me on some of those early morning feedings. My parents are awesome!!! Wish they could stay forever:)
As you can see Bex is a great helper

Introducing Livia Elise Rogers

The long awaited day is here! Friday morning John & I arrived at the hospital at 6 am and started getting ready for my csection. I had to have another since Rebekah was born by emergency csection. I did not sleep well the night before because I was so worried about how it would all go. Last time it all went really fast since it was an emergency and I was sick most of the delivery. I was hoping this time everything would go differently and it did!
Mom and Dad came into town Thursday afternoon to help watch Bekah. They got to the hospital ~7am and it was great to give my first little pooh bear a big hug & kiss before going into surgery.
The nurses were all really great and comforting through the whole process. After telling them our story from last time they agreed to try and make it different this time. I was so very anxious to get through the surgery and meet my little girl. I know John was anxious and pacing the floor waiting to come see me and meet our little girl. It was great this time John came in right before the baby was born and got to see her first! Dr. Reddy held her up and I got to see her too from over the drapes. She screamed soooo loud and kept screaming the whole time she was getting cleaned up. John got to take lots of pix and then finally hold her! I got to then kiss her before they took her off to get all cleaned up and weighed/measured.

Livia Elise Rogers was born August 6th at 8:05 am. We were soooo very excited to meet her! She shocked us all and weighed 9 lb 11 oz and was 22 inches long!!!

After getting all cleaned up and Mommy getting all fixed up we met again in the recovery room for some much needed alone time with mommy and baby. My little baby girl is so beautiful and looks a lot like my first beautiful baby girl! She is perfect! So healthy and happy!
Later we then went to our room and started having visitors. It is always fun to show off your new little one:)
